Concurrent session 1.4 - Explainable AI for IA - Opening the black box will become a priority

Artificial Intelligence (AI) represents great opportunities. Properly understood, it provides powerful mechanisms for companies, risk managers and internal auditors to maintain control, monitor results or KPIs, and ensure trust.

This session will focus on the benefits internal auditors could gain from understanding AI projects and techniques, ensuring the risks of automation are covered, but also by integrating aspects of it in their audit plans. For example, internal audit could draw on governance and control framework in place for AI projects to limit risk of bias, risk of “black box” and risk of lack of traceability.
