Tim Harvey



Tim joined the Metropolitan Police in January 1979. He served as a Detective Constable, Sergeant and Inspector in Central, South and west London before joining the Fraud Squad at New Scotland Yard in 1993. As a Detective Superintendent he chaired the National Fraud Investigators Working Group and sat on a number of other committees including the Proceeds of Crime Working Group, The Money Laundering Advisory Committee, The Joint Vetting Committee, and the Joint Money Laundering Steering Group to name but a few.


He joined the City of London Police when that force became lead nationally for fraud investigation. Being a practitioner for many years as well as a senior manager of the countries two largest fraud squads Tim has a wealth of experience in fraud management and investigation.


Leaving the Police, he works as a consultant and is currently Global Head of Chapter Development for the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and is busy promoting the benefits of the Association, its training and the ACFE Corporate Alliance programme. He is the current President of the ACFE UK Chapter.
